The City has seen an increase in international visitors over the past several months. A Chinese delegation in early June made London an important stop on their Canadian itinerary and tomorrow – the 24th of July – a delegation representing financial institutions from our sister city Nanjing will hold discussions with local economic and business leaders. Our visitors are scheduled to be in attendance at Council and I will be welcoming them on behalf of the city. Interest in London and its opportunities for businesses in the Pacific Rim and China have continued to develop since London representatives traveled in November. City and business leaders are working together to attract and connect with representatives of industry from around the world. London is competing on the global stage and our reputation is growing. Congratulations to the organizers of tomorrow’s event and a special thanks to the London Chinese Business Association for its support and guidance. For more information regarding an evening reception and dinner you can visit the London Economic Development website.
